Restaurant Review: 7 March 2020 dinner at Boatman, Windsor www.boatmanwindsor.com. We had a very good meal at Boatman last night. I had the king prawns in chilli and garlic oil followed by lamb shoulder, my husband had the porcini mushroom and chive risotto followed by a ribeye steak with blue cheese sauce. He swapped his chips for roasted new potatoes which was not a problem. Everything was really tasty and delicious 😋 and the service was excellent. Washed down with a very enjoyable bottle of Viognier. We were too full for dessert but we had a pint of lager (my husband) and a cappuccino (me). We sat in the conservatory which was busy with a nice bustling atmosphere. On one previous occasion I have found it too cold in the conservatory and kept my coat on for the entire meal. Last night temperature wise was fine. The bill came to just over £100. including service which we felt was reasonable for the quality of food and the location. Their river frontage is unbeatable in Windsor for al fresco dining in the summer.
