Wonderful Windsor!
This page is for my personal recommendations in the Windsor area. I love Windsor and have been a resident here for nearly 20 years, my husband has lived here since the age of 12. I am not paid to promote anyone or anything listed below. If this ever changes, you will be the first to know.

************NEWSFLASH 18th APRIL 2020: where can you still get a take away/delivery in Windsor area**********************

1 The Binoy Indian, Dedworth (consistently good takeaway approx 1 hour for our delivery).

2 Scott’s fish and chips, Dedworth, weekends only

3 Punto’s, Italian, Old Windsor (1 hour wait as predicted, food tasty, more expensive than usual Indian takeaway but nice for a change).

4 Al Fassia, Morrocan, Windsor

5 Caldesi, upmarket Italian in Bray, only delivering within 2 miles but collection available.

6 The Golden Curry, Indian, Eton.

7 Saffron, Indian takeaway and delivery, Windsor

8 Viceroy, Indian, ? collection only, Windsor.

9 Cote at home, delivering in Berkshire on Tuesdays and Thursdays, looks quite promising. (My parents have had a delivery from them. My Mum claims the fish parmentier is the best thing she’s eaten in weeks).

10 The Boathouse at Boulters Lock, Maidenhead, you can pre-order meals and groceries for collection.

Other options for buying food locally:

1 Cook, Maidenhead for fantastic quality ready meals can Click and Collect and also home delivery for those isolating and NHS staff.

2 The Greene Oak, Oakley Green, fruit and veg boxes, also fish and meat boxes available to pre-order and collect.

Thank you

Restaurant Review: 7 March 2020 dinner at Boatman, Windsor www.boatmanwindsor.com. We had a very good meal at Boatman last night. I had the king prawns in chilli and garlic oil followed by lamb shoulder, my husband had the porcini mushroom and chive risotto followed by a ribeye steak with blue cheese sauce. He swapped his chips for roasted new potatoes which was not a problem. Everything was really tasty and delicious 😋 and the service was excellent. Washed down with a very enjoyable bottle of Viognier. We were too full for dessert but we had a pint of lager (my husband) and a cappuccino (me). We sat in the conservatory which was busy with a nice bustling atmosphere. On one previous occasion I have found it too cold in the conservatory and kept my coat on for the entire meal. Last night temperature wise was fine. The bill came to just over £100. including service which we felt was reasonable for the quality of food and the location. Their river frontage is unbeatable in Windsor for al fresco dining in the summer.
