A little overwhelmed

Hi. Today I’ve felt a little overwhelmed with all the stuff to do for my parents. After a day with my Dad yesterday and bringing home several bags of my Mum’s clothes to sort through I woke up early thinking of the piles and piles of accumulated stuff in my parents’ house and I hadContinue reading “A little overwhelmed”

Ongoing challenges

Hi. Nice bee isn’t it? I snapped this in Windsor Great Park last weekend. Life continues to be challenging for me. My Mum is relatively happy in her new care home residence. She’s very busy participating in lots of different activities. She even went on a trip to Brighton last week. One of her mainContinue reading “Ongoing challenges”

Walking in Windsor Great Park

Hi. Happy weekend. I’m so pleased to be out and about this weekend and not in pain like this time last week. David and I went for a walk this afternoon in Windsor Great Park. It wasn’t the part we initially drove to as they’ve scuppered our parking there with DOUBLE YELLOW LINES for seeminglyContinue reading “Walking in Windsor Great Park”

Word Press anniversary etc

Hello folks. I received this message above yesterday. I started my WordPress account 2 years ago. It took me over a month after that to figure how how to post a blog post. WordPress didn’t seem to make it that easy, it didn’t seem very logical to start with but I worked it out inContinue reading “Word Press anniversary etc”

Beautiful pumpkins, new Aldi supermarket, wonderful trees

Hello. I am quite in love with the pumpkin on the left. I grew it myself. It is so smooth and round, the weight of a new born baby. I have watched it steadily progress from green to orange on my kitchen windowsill over the past few weeks. Maybe we will eat it soon. IContinue reading “Beautiful pumpkins, new Aldi supermarket, wonderful trees”

Pumpkins, Foxes, Twinkletoes and Trees…

Hi everyone. Do you like my pumpkins 🎃? I grew them myself. I know they’re supposed to be orange. I’ve now brought them into the house as apparently that will help them to turn orange. They are clean, warm and cosy next to the kitchen window for sunlight. I was planning on making curry andContinue reading “Pumpkins, Foxes, Twinkletoes and Trees…”

I have a new washing up bowl!

Good evening, morning etc wherever you may be. I bring exciting news…….I have a posh new washing up bowl and I love it! The full details of it are here. It’s expensive, but I didn’t pay quite this much, as if you sign up to the elephant box newsletter you can get a small discount.Continue reading “I have a new washing up bowl!”

The “C” word (not Covid)… and maybe a little bit of moaning from a middle aged woman..

Hi. I am quite cross my friends. I walked up to Timpson’s to get my new watch battery just now. The shop closes at 4.00 pm on Sunday, supposedly, and I arrived at 3.05 pm. The bloke (who was busy hoovering his very small portacabin) was rude and refused to serve me as he preferredContinue reading “The “C” word (not Covid)… and maybe a little bit of moaning from a middle aged woman..”

Flowers, trees and food (TWW staples)

An interesting choice of window box flowers, these tall lilies, don’t you think? They made me stop and smile on my lunchtime walk this week. Here are some other pretty flowers..firstly our beautiful blue hydrangeas out the front. They are growing FAST! Some pretty specimens around our local estate. I’m loving this rich, deep purple.Continue reading “Flowers, trees and food (TWW staples)”

A murky Saturday in Windsor

Hello. How are you? It’s a murky day in Windsor with a bit of drizzle in the air all day. The good news is that the weather is actually a lot better than the original forecast of heavy rain all day. Most of the rain fell in the night. We grabbed the opportunity to visitContinue reading “A murky Saturday in Windsor”
