March has been a whirlwind, don’t you think? It’s really sped by.
I’m afraid crafty March has not been very crafty. I have run out of time and it is nearly over. The three craft activities completed have been:
1 Hand hemming to take up my new work brown trousers and wearing them several times already.
2 Sewing a button back onto the cuff of a very pretty silk blouse I have. It still remains in the ironing basket after sewing…
3 Booking a pottery workshop at Keeeps pottery studio in Marlow with my friend Julie. We are really looking forward to doing this workshop next month. It includes hand building with clay and trying out the wheel. I haven’t done any pottery since I was at junior school. Should be fun 🤩.
That’s it. It’s a disappointingly small list and I wish I’d found more time for my craft activities but c’est la vie! I think the trouble is I have so many things I enjoy doing and I like socialising with other people and that seems to take over a bit as well as work and stuff with my parents. April is going to be garden month, maybe that will be more successful.

Look at all this mistletoe we spotted in the tree on our walk the other day. It was really low down. Usually you see it right up in the tops of the trees.
Tonight we’re having Charlie Bigham’s salmon en croutes for dinner, probably with baked beans. It’s a quick supper before I go to the cinema with Sue. We’re going to see The Phantom of the Open which looks quite funny. Hopefully we won’t see the nasty lady in our row who told us off for talking last time and it wasn’t us… it was some ladies further along our row. She was very angry and was right in our faces without a mask on after the film. Eventually she backed down and apologised. We definitely don’t want to see her again!
I hope you’re all doing well. I am super happy as I managed to buy some Wimbledon tickets today for Friday 8 July Court no.1. I really ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ Wimbledon. So happy 😀! XX
Wimbledon sounds like it will be so much fun! Wishing you a wonderful April.

Enjoy the clay work. 11 was the last time I messed with clay at school.
Yes, I feel the same about March.
I hope you are enjoying the weather. X

Waht an active person you are! do you play tennis too?
My father was a great enthusiast and wehn I was at school he always took me out for a day to watch some matches. Very naughty and very exciting. long time ago. I remember wathcing billie Jean King and Yvonne Goolagong.
The last match I saw was the Bjorn Gorg and John Mackenroe final.

I played tennis last year for the first time in about 15 years. It was really fun although I’m not good at all. I’m hoping to play again with my colleague. Wow you have seen some of the greats at tennis. My father used to take us to Wimbledon after school sometimes- we were at school in Putney-in those days you could just turn up and go in at the end of the day, the queue was nothing like it is today.
