So here you are, my new kitchen sink. You get everything on The Waffle including the kitchen sink.
It’s going to look better with the new quartz worktop. That’s being measured up tomorrow and being installed on 21 December I believe.
We also got a new induction hob installed today. I have absolutely no idea how to use it. Quite sad to see my old gas hob go in the end, the scene of many a contented cooking session. Will I be able to cook anything at all on the new hob? Time will tell.
For tonight we had a microwaved meal of mixed brown and white basmati rice with “Look what we found” chilli con carne. The vacuum sealed meals from this company are great for emergencies. They last for ages in the cupboard, don’t contain loads of chemicals, are tasty and cook in 2 minutes. I buy them from Ocado. We used to have them on return from holidays when we got back from the airport and hadn’t been shopping yet.. ahh, the good old days when we had holidays abroad, far and wide across the globe. I see photos of us and think, was that really us??? All a distant memory now. Here we are the happy tourists at Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah, 15 October 2019. What a stunning place. Look at us, so care free, no idea about the pandemic a few months around the corner!
Back to reality and today. It’s been a busy day cycling, on the train, helping my Mum at the dentist…
More partying tomorrow night for our work Xmas do. We’re still going out but my boss phoned to say can I message everyone to do lateral flow tests beforehand. There are 11 of us going for dinner, so not a massive group, but it’s best to be as safe as we can be at the moment.
