It’s been so long I’ve forgotten how to blog – only joking! I’ve had a brilliant week wining and dining all over Windsor. I’ve had my nails and my hair done, been to the library for the first time in over a year, been cycling, walking and thoroughly celebrated my birthday with David and with friends. What have you been up to?
David bought me the funky chair above which I had found on Etsy. I love it! It sits in my home office and is a cross between functional furniture and an objet d’art in my opinion. It makes me happy when I look at at and will be just right for sitting on when I use my foot spa. And relax!
I’ve eaten and drunk so many yummy things over the course of the last week, and I haven’t cooked any of them! A change is as good as a rest. I’ll show you a few highlight photos from the week.
First drink of the week. Al fresco dining at Oakley Court. Expensive but amazing. Cheers everyone!

The beautiful terrace at Oakley Court under the white brollies. This hotel has been used many times as a film set, the Hammer horror films amongst others. Bray studios are just next door.

This made me smile! It was on a t shirt in a shop in Eton.

Birthday brownies arrived from a friend. Yum yum.

Pretty pink rose plant from another friend.

Flowers from another…

So many lovely cards and gifts, I can’t mention them all today otherwise we’ll be here forever. I am very lucky. Thank you wonderful people in my life ❤️.
My camellia finally bloomed, but then got scared off by the frost.

How cute is this gate in Bray, especially with a robin perched on the top?

A margarita I didn’t make myself!

Views of the River Thames at Bray marina where we lunched at “Mediterraneum”. Such a lovely spot.

Windsor castle, of course. The Duke of Edinburgh’s funeral was on my birthday, yesterday. We didn’t go into Windsor that day.

The beautiful River Thames at Windsor.

The Boatman pub/restaurant in Windsor, scene of my Wednesday lunch with Julie. A train in the station behind the brollies.

So the sun is shining on this stunning evening, my last before I’m back to work so I’m going to do a bit of yoga now, soak up a few more rays in the garden, drink a final glass or two of birthday gift wine and dine on lobster, scallops and new potatoes 😋. It’s a hard life! Back soon Wafflers, hope you’re all keeping well and getting out enjoying yourselves too Xxx
Huge happy birthday for yesterday!! I love the funky new chair! You got some lovely birthday gifts and it’s so nice to see a pic of you too!! Hope you get an easy week back at work! Still no restaurants open here. Xx
